Hey, it's me again for the last time. I had so much fun being in the AICE Media Studies class for two years in a row. This film was so amazing to make and I had a blast. I'm so sad to be saying goodbye to this class. I hope to continue filming later on. Thank you for everything, peace out!

Genre Research: Thriller

Another genre I'm researching is thriller. Though similar to horror, thrillers are often meant to invoke a suspense feeling of what’s to come next while horror is more for the scare factor. For thriller, the common camera angels used are high angels. Many are done very slowly to also add to the uneasiness. A Birds eye view is a good movement option for making a character feel powerless and vulnerable which is common in thrillers. Close ups and extreme closeups are best used in showing a characters distress. With this, it sets the audiences moods and builds an effective tension. With costumes and makeup, minimal is always best in helping to keep the scenario real and the characters more relatable. This in turn makes the audience more scared because it’s more real.  Hey there! I'm back again and I hope everyone is having a great day! The reason I chose to research the movie smile was due to the fact that it is unsettling, ruthless and thrilling. These are all things in which follow the conventions of 
horror and what my group and I would like to accomplish for our final task! The elements simile has in which my group based our movie idea on includes; dramatic exposition and sound, props such as knifes and guns, the different camera angles to draw and create suspense for the viewer. How to Make a Short Film

   The video "How to make a short film" by film riot will act as a helpful tool. This video gives our group a good sense of what well need to do in creating our short film. Most of this is in the preparation and setup that allows the story to come through within the short amount of time. It says not to write something that wont fit the resources that are available to us. Our short film should be written having in mind the actors as well as the access to equipment we have. We would not be able to perform huge cgi shots or anything from the sky as we don't have the equipment for it and we should plan accordingly. Another important aspect of the film that we should focus on is tone. The video goes over tone as it relates to camera positioning as well as lighting and setting.
