We started the filming process!
Hey I’m back! My group and I finally were able to meet up and figure out the roles we will be playing in the short film process. Since this short film will partially take place in a hospital setting, we are going to need to get a lot of props. I was put in charge of finding the hospital like props to heighten the reality of the short film. Luckily, I am very close friends with someone whose dad is an orthopedic surgeon. He said that he would help me get some hospital sheets and a few hospital like props that he finds lying around his office. This will greatly help the setting feel like a real hospital. Other props I am in charge of getting is shopping bags and glasses for the scenes that take place in the middle of the film. I am also the one whose car we are using in the initial car accident scene and whose car we are using to get to all of the other settings. I have already planned a vacant road to film the car accident scene on and made sure to follow every safety pro-caution there is. My group mate Jack is the main actor in the film while my other group mate is another actor and the editor. I am more of the director and camera man. I am the one who has to bring the camera since I have one from filming my commercial and opening scene from last year. I do prefer using my iPhone camera instead sometimes as well so I will bring both. Not only has my group and I started to gather props we have also started our website. We have only set up the template for the website and started to set up the social media accounts to go on it. I also started to look for pictures to use on our website. It was a little weird at first since making a website is brand new to me. However, as I kept exploring and trying to things I started to figure things out and feel more comfortable making my website. My group and I are planning to meet up tomorrow to start filming. We are all super busy though so, we have a black up plan to meet another day this week if something falls through. Anyways I’ll see you next time, peace out!
