Our Script

 Scene 1:

-The scene beings with dark lighting. A cat walks by the abandoned horror house to set the spooky and creepy sense of the genre horror. Lola and Olivia suggest going to explore the haunted house down the road for something to do on a late Friday night.  Music beings to play in the background it plays a non-diegetic, yet common sound associated with horror. 

 -Sabrina: Guys this is a really bad idea. We have always been warned to STAY AWAY! (has a worried tone) 

-Michaela: I agree, remember that time John Cameron and Jackson French from 43rd street went In and never came out.

 -Lola: Guys calm down we will be fine, loosen up and live a little.

-Skeptical but they all walk in. The door slams shut. They all scream. 

 

Scene 2: 

 -Sabrina runs to open the door and it won’t open; she starts to panic.

 -Sabrina: Guys it won’t open (panic in her voice) 

 -Olivia: ahhhhh, woah. What is this place. (Distracted by the darkness and curiosity of the forbidden haunted house) 

-Michaela: sorry to state the obvious but how on earth our we going to get out of here! 

 -Lola: We will find a way, just don’t freak out yet. 

 

Scene 3: 

-It was so dark, cold and you could only see 3 feet ahead, whispers and echoes filled the room. Each step the girls took the floorboards creak. 

 -Olivia: do you think someone still lives here. What If they are hiding. 

- Olivia tries a to scare the rest of the girls in the group by making creepy noises, it doesn’t work. 

 -Lola: Does anyone have a flashlight I can’t see a thing. 

-Sabrina: I wish.

 -Olivia / Michaela: nope.

  

Scene 4: 

 -After a while of searching this un-known and secret place they start to panic.

-Michaela: Has anyone found an exit, what if we can’t get out. 

-Sabrina: I knew this was a terrible idea, see what you guys drag me into.  

-Olivia: Okay, haha very funny whose grabbing my leg. 

- Lola / Sabrina / Michaela: Olivia what are you talking -about. 

-Olivia: (screams very loud)  They split up. 

 

Scene 5: 

 -Everyone is in a different part of the house they are all alone in dark and haunted house. 

 -Sabrina: I knew it, I knew it. I am going to die in here. (She stutters)

 -Michaela: What did we get ourselves into (fear in her voice) 

 -Olivia: why did I let my curiosity get to me. There is someone in this house and they are after us. I can’t see anything (her voice trembles) 

 -Lola: How do we get out of here. 

- Sound associated with horror plays.

 

Scene 6: 

 -Lola: (shouts everyone names out loudly) OLIVIA, SABRINA, MICHAELA 

-Olivia: (hears a faint sound, her name being called from Lola however she doesn’t know that its her calling)


Scene 7: 

-A loud scream happens and the directed by title pops up in the fading in darkness until it goes completely dark

-Horror sound resume with fully black scene for 5-6 seconds

My product challenged many conventions that are found in Christmas music videos. First , most Christmas music videos use snow or are filmed in a snowy area. As I filmed my video in Florida, there was no snow to incorporate in the video . Instead of snow I went a different route and filmed in front of decorated palm trees and showed my true Floridian Christmas spirit. Another way my product challenged the conventions was most Christmas music videos include back up dancers and all out costumes. My music video was completely the opposite of this as everyone was dressed festive but simpl e . T here were a lso only a few actors that told a story instead of having the commotion of dancing in the back. As my product challenged conventions it also used some as well. Filmed The Opening Scene

  Hey, it’s me again back at it. Finally, my group and I were able to start filming our short film. Due to our recent delay in filming due to weather we rescheduled filming to today. I had everyone meet at my house at 3:30 with all of the props we would need for the first few scenes. One everyone got to my house I drove everyone to the empty street in my neighborhood where we could film the opening car scene. I was directing and filming this scene as my group mate Jack drove the car. The first scene was slightly difficult to film for me. I had to film a panning shot of the car and it was hard to time my filming with my group mates driving. Instead I suggested we show a wide shot of the car to show he is driving. Then I thought we should have our group mate sitting inside the car with a POV shot of what he’s seeing while driving. This plan was much easier to film and it in the end looked much better. Finally the group got together!

  Hey, it’s me again back at it. My group and I were finally able to meet up and talk out some of the details of our project. The first thing I proposed we talked about was the props situation. I decided that I would buy fake blood and cob webs. I already have fake blood from Halloween at my house so, it was perfect. I also am going to get some old looking sheets to put over places in the setting to make it look a bit more haunted. We officially confirmed that our filming spot would be at my house unless something comes up. My house in under construction so it gives a sort of run down feel. There are also many open lots and construction going on near by. I will have to make sure that there is no debris and we are all safe before we film but I think the spot should be perfect. We have not fully decided on a date that we can all meet up. All of us are about to go on break so are schedules are packed. I am either working or out of town the whole break.
