Re-Editing Blog: Fixed everything with a little editing, finally done!

Finally, I am done doing everything for this film. It took a while but I had so much fun creating this project. I made all the last and final touches on my video today and I’m so excited. We had to re-edit quite a few things but overall it came out pretty good. The first thing I had to re-edit was the titles. Since I had to re-film some scenes in order to give more time for a title to be on screen, I also had to re-edit the titles so they would stay for longer. Now, every title stays on the screen for the same amount of time and is is legible. It took me a while to get the timing down for the titles but when I did, it looked so much better than it previously had. Another thing I re-edited were my transitions. My film was pretty choppy so when watching it the scenes were spread apart weirdly. Using CapCut, I was able to make transitions between scenes smoother and the overall film looked much cleaner. Editing was hard for me since I am not very good at it. Editing throughout this film has definitely helped me explore more editing functions and apps. One other thing I had to re-edit in my film was the brightness of some of my re-filmed scenes. Since we re-filmed at a different part of the day, the lighting changed from dark to light instead of light to dark. This didn’t make sense so I had to edit those scenes. I increased the brightness and shadow on the scenes using CapCut. I also decreased the highlights so that the reflecting light would shimmer less. Even though this wasn’t as effective as just filming all at night, the editing worked good too. The project was definitely the hardest especially having to film a horror movie but I had so much fun and learned so much. I hope you guys like the editing!! Anyways, that’s enough for today, peace out!
